The Restaurant
The Restaurant is the heartbeat of Zamas. It began with founders Daniel and Susan serving California-style cooking to honeymooners, backpackers and soul-searchers in the beachside palapa. Today, we also host musicians on our seaside stage and the Happiest Hour on our open air terrace.
We remain committed to sourcing local ingredients to create fresh, sustainable, season driven plates. We only buy fish caught in the Caribbean Sea from fisherman who deliver straight to our beach. The majority of our team is from the zona maya and you will find a regional influence in many of our offerings. ¡Qué Fresco!
Taste of Tulum
In a nod to its enterprising and adventurous start, the Restaurant invites guest chefs and bartenders to collaborate and bring new flavors to our plates.
Chefs! Bartenders! Hospitality creatives! If you are interested in visiting us for a Taste of Tulum, please contact us.
Tulum Food Spirits & Wine Festival
In 2017, the Restaurant at Zamas participated in Tulum’s second Tulum Food, Spirits & Wine Festival by hosting Chefs Marc Anthony Bynum of Hush, New York, and Elizabeth Fraser of Elly’s, Mexico City, for two nights of coursed meals paired with Patrón Tequila and Mezcal Unión.
