Zammá, the original name for Tulum, means new beginnings, as in sunrise or tomorrow. It is the Mayan Word from which ZAMAS derives its name. Situated south of the Tulum Archeological site, ZAMAS' thatch roof bungalows blend beautifully with the elements of sea and sand.

Getting Around
If you haven't rented a car, you can get around quite easily with taxis and buses. Taxi fare to town is approximately 35 pesos. You should always ask the fare before departing so there are not any misunderstandings in price. Taxi drivers in Tulum are more than happy to take you to a cenote, ruins or other site and either wait while you explore or return to pick you up. Please inquire at the Bar/Reception area if you'd like us to arrange a taxi for you. Bus service on the main highways is frequent, generally reliable, comfortable (1st class) and cheap. The Tulum Bus Station can give you approximate arrival and departure times.
